Cre-driver transgenic mice. A transgenic construct containing sequence encoding Cre recombinase under the control of the mouse villin 1 promoter fragment (intestinal stem cells specific promoter region) derived from the BAC library was microinjected into C57BL/6NCrlCrlj fertilized eggs. Tissue-specific expression of Cre recombinase has not been examined yet. Users are encouraged to test the tissue-specificity and feed back the data for the research community.
